What you’ll find on this flamenco blog

On the flamenco blog you’ll find content for different moments: sometimes to solve a quick question, and other times to sit down and read at ease. We’ll publish city guides and recommendations to see live flamenco, but also more cultural and informative articles about flamenco history, palos and styles, artists and schools, theory and analysis, vocabulary, instruments, curiosities and context. Over time we’ll add a variety of formats such as themed picks, interviews, routes, concept explainers and current pieces to better understand the flamenco scene.

How we recommend shows

When we make recommendations focused on the live experience, we aim for them to match what the visitor expects and the kind of plan they have in mind. That’s why we consider location and how easy it is to get there, the artistic quality of the cast (dance, singing and guitar), comfort and sightlines in the room, the pace of the show, and the relationship between what’s included and the final price. We also take into account practical details such as typical schedules, duration, and whether the experience includes a drink or dinner. The idea is simple: that booking feels like a good decision and that your flamenco night turns out perfect.

Our commitment to flamenco

We believe flamenco is enjoyed more when you understand it better: its history, its codes, its palos, its voices and its silences. In this blog we care about rigor and clarity, avoiding noise and clichés, so that every read brings you closer to real flamenco. And if an article leads you to see it live, even better: flamenco, in the end, happens on a stage.
