Festival El Búcaro 2026 programme and artists

The 2026 edition is conceived as a major one-night flamenco event. It starts at 10:00 pm and brings together flamenco singing, accompanying guitar, solo guitar and palmas. At the time this guide was prepared, the organisers had published the full line-up, but not an individual running order or separate times for each artist.

The programme should therefore be understood as one combined bill rather than a series of separate sets with individual start times. These are the officially announced artists.

El Pele, headliner of the 43rd edition

The presence of El Pele is one of the main attractions of El Búcaro 2026. The Córdoba-born singer arrives in La Rinconada as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary flamenco, with a career spanning decades and a style that combines knowledge of traditional forms, expressive freedom and tremendous stage intensity.

His appearance places the festival in a very recognisable tradition: a rooted peña-style event that still brings in leading figures. Alongside him is a bill designed to offer different shades of flamenco singing.

Consuelo Haldón brings a career closely linked to the traditional repertoire; Rubito Hijo represents the continuity of a flamenco family line; Caracolillo de Cádiz brings the personality of Cádiz singing styles to the stage, while Fernando El Goyo maintains a direct link with Peña Cultural Flamenca El Búcaro itself.

This mix of a major established figure, seasoned artists and local representation is precisely one of the elements that has sustained the festival for more than four decades.

An especially strong guitar line-up

The 2026 accompaniment deserves attention in its own right. Antonio Carrión, awarded the Gold Medal of the Province of Seville in 2025 and with more than five decades on stage, is part of a group of guitarists with extensive experience in recitals and festivals.

Alongside him will be Niño Seve, Manuel Herrera and Juan Quirós. The organisers have also reserved a specific feature for the solo guitar of Manuel Herrera Hijo, representing a younger generation.

For fans who pay as much attention to the guitar as to the singing, El Búcaro therefore offers an added attraction: these are not merely functional accompanists, but guitarists with identities of their own and an important presence throughout the night.

The palmas of Concha Carrión and Ángel Peña complete the rhythmic section.

Tickets for El Búcaro 2026: price and where to buy

Tickets for the 43rd El Búcaro Flamenco Singing Festival have a single price of €10. Advance sales began on 1 September and take place in person at Centro Cultural de La Villa, in San José de La Rinconada.

The announced sales hours are 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. On the day of the festival, the Hacienda Santa Cruz box office will also open one hour before the start, from 9:00 pm, but only if tickets are still available.

The existence of a box office should not be taken as a guarantee that tickets will be available at the door. With a €10 price, a bill headed by El Pele and a date that coincides with one of the busiest flamenco periods of the year in Seville, our recommendation is to buy your ticket in advance whenever possible.

Centro Cultural de La Villa is located at Vereda de Chapatales, 2, San José de La Rinconada. The Town Council also provides the Culture department telephone number, 955 79 41 42, for information about its cultural venues.

Where it takes place: Hacienda Santa Cruz

The festival venue will be Hacienda Santa Cruz, at Carretera de la Estación, 2, in San José de La Rinconada. The venue is part of the municipal network of cultural spaces and once again becomes the meeting point for one of the town’s major flamenco nights.

The choice of the Hacienda is not a minor detail. El Búcaro belongs to the Andalusian festival tradition in which the setting, the night-time atmosphere and the close relationship between artists and aficionados are as much a part of the experience as the line-up itself.

If you are travelling from Seville, it is worth arriving early. The event starts at 10:00 pm and, if tickets remain, the box office is scheduled to open one hour beforehand. Those who already have tickets can use the extra time to see the exhibition linked to this edition, provided it is within visiting hours.

How to get from Seville to San José de La Rinconada

San José de La Rinconada is part of the Seville metropolitan area and is connected by Cercanías commuter rail on the Seville–Lora del Río line, as well as by metropolitan buses. For an event that starts at 10:00 pm and may finish late at night, the key issue is not just getting there, but checking the last available service for the return journey.

If you rely on public transport, we recommend checking the current Renfe Cercanías and Consorcio de Transportes timetables on 18 September itself. Late-night schedules may not match the actual finishing time of a flamenco event like this.

For groups or visitors staying in Seville, travelling by car, taxi or ride-hailing service may be more convenient for the return journey, especially if you want to stay until the end without worrying about the last public transport departure.

Hacienda Santa Cruz is at Carretera de la Estación, 2. Entering the full venue name or exact address into your navigation app is recommended to avoid confusing it with other places in the municipality.

“Dame el Búcaro”: contemporary art and flamenco around the festival

One of the most interesting new features of the 43rd edition is “Dame el Búcaro”, a project promoted by La Rinconada Town Council in collaboration with Peña Cultural Flamenca El Búcaro. The initiative has brought together 50 contemporary artists to transform fifty white-clay búcaros, taking inspiration from the world of flamenco lyrics.

The result is presented as an exhibition at Hacienda Santa Cruz and can be visited until 20 September 2026. The project connects three languages that do not usually appear together at a flamenco singing festival: the material tradition of the búcaro, the literature of flamenco verses and contemporary visual creation.

The winning work in the first edition of the project is “Ojos Verdes”, by the Morón-born artist Marina Ortiz. The piece has become the official image of the 43rd Festival poster. In addition, the twelve highest-rated works were linked to the twelve artists announced on the festival poster, creating a visual collection specifically for this edition.

If you are travelling specifically for El Búcaro, it is worth checking the exhibition opening times and treating the visit as more than just one night of flamenco singing.

A peña festival with 43 consecutive editions

The El Búcaro Flamenco Singing Festival is organised by Peña Cultural Flamenca El Búcaro with the support of La Rinconada Town Council. Reaching its 43rd edition places the event among the established festivals in the province of Seville and demonstrates the role peñas continue to play in maintaining stable circuits for flamenco singing.

The philosophy promoted by the organisers combines three elements: artistic quality, defence of flamenco and transmission to new generations. The 2026 line-up reflects that idea well, bringing together a major figure such as El Pele, artists from different backgrounds and generations, local representation and a carefully selected guitar section.

The festival is also a reminder that much of Andalusia’s flamenco activity takes place outside the major theatres. Peñas, local festivals and provincial series form an essential network for maintaining direct contact between aficionados and artists.

At Tablaos Flamencos we are also following the 2026 Andalusian Flamenco Peñas Circuit, which this year features 225 free recitals across Andalusia.

El Búcaro and the Flamenco Biennial: two options on 18 September

The date adds a special attraction for anyone in Seville in September: El Búcaro takes place during the 24th Seville Flamenco Biennial. 18 September falls during one of the most intense weeks in the capital’s programme, making the night in La Rinconada an alternative or complement for aficionados who want to leave central Seville and experience a different flamenco atmosphere.

The two experiences are not equivalent. The Biennial offers major stage productions, premieres and theatres of different sizes. El Búcaro follows the logic of a peña festival: a long night, a multi-artist bill, a strong focus on singing and guitar, and more direct contact with the tradition of local festivals.

If you are planning those days, see our guide What to see at the Biennial from 14 to 20 September 2026 to compare the programme in the capital.

We have also gathered options outside the official programme in Flamenco in Seville during the Biennial: where to see shows beyond the official programme.

Our recommendation for enjoying Festival El Búcaro 2026

If your main goal is to hear flamenco singing, El Búcaro is one of the most interesting events around Seville on 18 September. The line-up follows a very flamenco logic: five singers with different profiles, four accompanying guitarists, solo guitar and a palmas team that completes the night without turning the festival into a sequence of large-scale productions.

We especially recommend it to visitors who already know the tablao or theatre format and want to experience the atmosphere of a traditional provincial festival. It is also a strong choice for guitar enthusiasts, thanks to Antonio Carrión, Manuel Herrera, Niño Seve, Juan Quirós and Manuel Herrera Hijo.

Three practical tips can make a difference:

  • Buy your ticket before the 18th if you are able to visit Centro Cultural de La Villa.
  • Plan your return journey before leaving Seville if you are using public transport.
  • Arrive with time to spare and check the “Dame el Búcaro” opening times if you want to add the exhibition to your visit.

If you cannot get a ticket, prefer to stay in Seville or want to complete your trip with another night of flamenco, you can compare available tablao shows in the city.
