Trasnoches Flamencos: seven dates with flamenco guitar at the centre
The part most directly connected with flamenco is concentrated in Trasnoches Flamencos, a series exploring different ways of understanding the guitar: accompaniment for dance, solo concert, dialogue with singing and proposals open to other musical traditions.
4 September: Alejandro Hurtado + Inmaculada Salomón
The festival opened with Alejandro Hurtado, guitarist awarded the Bordón Minero, together with Inmaculada Salomón, principal dancer of the Ballet Nacional de España. It was the only date in the series clearly conceived around the encounter between guitar and dance. The concert has already taken place and tickets sold out.
11 September: El Amir – Alma Flamenca
El Amir, guitarist, composer and multi-instrumentalist, presents a flamenco proposal shaped by his broad musical range and international experience. He is also known for taking part in Hans Zimmer’s tours. The recital takes place at 19:30 in the Fundación Unicaja María Cristina Hall and costs €10.
