3. Have dinner and discover Jerez wines
An evening in Jerez is also understood through its food and wines. Fino, oloroso, amontillado, palo cortado and Pedro Ximénez all form part of a wine culture that should not be limited to a daytime winery visit.
There are two particularly convenient ways to organise the evening.
Have dinner before the flamenco show. This is the simplest option if you choose a later performance. You can reserve a table in the centre, have tapas or a full dinner, and then head to the show with enough time.
See the flamenco show first and have dinner afterwards. This can work better with early performances. The show becomes the start of the evening and the food part remains flexible, without rushing and with time to linger over dinner.
There is no need to turn dinner into a technical tasting. Simply ask for advice, try a wine from the region and understand that in Jerez, wine and food are part of the same cultural landscape.
If you choose Puro Arte, check the ticket options available, as some packages let you combine the show and food within the same booking.
