# SICAB Seville 2026: what to do afterwards and where to see flamenco

## SICAB does not have to end when you leave FIBES

If you are travelling to Seville for **SICAB 2026**, much of your day will probably revolve around horses, competitions, stud farms, exhibitions and professional meetings. But when the day at the show ends, there is still another side of Seville to discover.

From **17 to 22 November 2026**, the International Horse Show returns to FIBES for its 36th edition and to host the World Championship for the Purebred Spanish Horse. For many visitors, the practical question comes afterwards: **what can you do after leaving SICAB, and where can you see flamenco that same evening?**

The answer depends mainly on the time you leave the venue. If you finish early, you can combine the historic centre, tapas and a show. If you stay until closing time, it is better to keep the plan simple and book a flamenco performance that leaves a realistic margin for the journey.

**17–22**

### November 2026

**FIBES · Seville**

36th edition of SICAB

World Championship for the Purebred Spanish Horse

Afterwards: city centre · Triana · tapas · flamenco

> Confirmed SICAB 2026 details: it takes place from 17 to 22 November at FIBES. The organisers publish the following approximate commercial opening hours: 10:00 to 21:00 from Tuesday to Saturday and 10:00 to 19:00 on Sunday. These times may change. As of 4 October 2026, the official programme page still states that the detailed SICAB 2026 schedule will be published soon.

**Practical tip:** if you want to see flamenco on the same day, book the show first and work backwards. Do not build your evening around the assumption that you will leave FIBES at a specific time if you still do not know the timetable of the activities that interest you most.

**Check and book:** in our guide to [**flamenco in Seville**](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/flamenco-in-seville) you can compare tablaos, ticket options and availability.

## SICAB Seville 2026: dates, venue and opening hours

SICAB 2026 takes place at **FIBES, Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre**, at Avenida Alcalde Luis Uruñuela, 1. The event will run from **Tuesday 17 to Sunday 22 November 2026**.

The organisers present SICAB as the major international meeting dedicated to the Purebred Spanish Horse and as the venue for the World Championship for the Purebred Spanish Horse. Alongside the sporting programme, the event brings together stud farms, professionals, enthusiasts and the general public.

To plan what you will do afterwards, one detail is especially important: the venue lists approximate commercial opening hours of **10:00–21:00 from Tuesday to Saturday** and **10:00–19:00 on Sunday**.

## The full programme may still change

As of the date this guide was reviewed, **4 October 2026**, the official SICAB website still shows the 2026 programme page with a notice saying that details will be published soon. It is therefore too early to build a fixed evening around a particular competition or activity that has not yet been officially confirmed.

General information about tickets and the equestrian show is already available, but the organisers themselves warn that schedules may change without notice.

Our recommendation is simple: **book flamenco with a comfortable time margin** and, once SICAB publishes the final programme, adjust the rest of your day without jeopardising the ticket you already want to keep.

## What to do after SICAB in Seville

FIBES is in Seville East, outside the historic centre. So, rather than looking only for things to do around the venue, an evening visitor will usually get more from heading towards the **city centre, Santa Cruz, Encarnación or Triana**.

If this is your first visit to Seville, a good combination is to head into the centre, take a relaxed walk without trying to squeeze in monuments that have already closed, have a light dinner and finish with a flamenco show. It gets dark early in November, so the evening atmosphere in squares, streets and terraces begins much earlier than in spring.

If you already know the city, you can go straight to the area around your tablao and avoid unnecessary journeys.

## Horses and flamenco: two different worlds that coexist in Seville

SICAB and the tablaos are not part of the same programme, and it is worth keeping them separate. Equestrian culture and flamenco are different cultural expressions, each with its own history, techniques and spaces.

What they do share in Seville is their ability to attract an international audience interested in Andalusian culture. For many visitors, spending the day at SICAB and ending it with live singing, dance and guitar therefore feels like a natural combination.

You do not need to look for a supposed “special SICAB show”. The practical option is to choose a **tablao with its regular programme** at a time that fits your departure from FIBES.

## Where to see flamenco after SICAB 2026

These options are not part of SICAB. They are independent tablaos that you can book according to the area where you would like to end the evening.

### Tablao Flamenco Las Setas: Encarnación and the city centre

[**Tablao Flamenco Las Setas**](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/tablao/tablao-flamenco-las-setas) is in Plaza de la Encarnación. It is a convenient option if, after SICAB, you want to head into the centre, have dinner nearby and keep the rest of the evening around Encarnación.

Its location also makes it easy to continue on foot towards shopping streets and other parts of the historic centre. The listing offers different ticket options and show times; check availability for your date before planning the journey from FIBES.

[See Las Setas](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/tablao/tablao-flamenco-las-setas)

### La Cantaora: Plaza Nueva and the historic centre

[**Tablao Flamenco La Cantaora**](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/tablao/tablao-flamenco-la-cantaora) is on Calle Albareda, next to Plaza Nueva. It can work especially well if you want to end the day in a very central area, close to the City Hall, Avenida de la Constitución and the route towards the Cathedral.

It is a practical choice for visitors who prefer to reach the centre and keep later journeys to a minimum.

### Casa Duende: an evening in the old town

[**Casa Duende Tablao**](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/tablao/casa-duende-tablao), on Corral del Rey, is an option for visitors who want to enter the historic centre and combine flamenco with a walk through the Santa Cruz area.

If you leave SICAB late, avoid adding too many stops before the show. A quick dinner or some tapas nearby may be enough to keep the plan realistic.

[See Casa Duende](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/tablao/casa-duende-tablao)

### El Jardín de Murillo: Santa Cruz and the historic gardens

[**Tablao Flamenco El Jardín de Murillo**](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/tablao/tablao-flamenco-el-jardin-de-murillo) is on Paseo de Catalina de Ribera. Its location is appealing if you want to end the day around Santa Cruz and the Jardines de Murillo.

It is worth considering both for a late-afternoon performance and for an evening focused on this part of the city. Always check the actual time available for 17–22 November.

[See El Jardín de Murillo](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/tablao/tablao-flamenco-el-jardin-de-murillo)

### Baraka: if you want to end the night in Triana

[**Baraka Sala Flamenca**](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/tablao/baraka-sala-flamenca) is on Calle Pureza in Triana. It makes most sense if, after SICAB, you want to cross the river and devote the evening to this neighbourhood.

Triana has a different atmosphere from the monumental centre. If you choose this area, it is best to make it the final destination of the evening rather than trying to return to the old town afterwards.

[See Baraka](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/tablao/baraka-sala-flamenca)

### Which one should you choose?

There is no single “best” tablao after SICAB. For this kind of visit, the most useful criteria are usually **available time + the area where you want to finish + ticket option**.

If your day at FIBES has already been long, a **show-only ticket** usually gives you more flexibility than a long dining experience. If you prefer dinner and flamenco in one plan, check the total time you will need.

## Three plans depending on what time you leave SICAB

The key is not to plan the evening as if FIBES were in the middle of the historic centre.

### Plan 1 · You leave with plenty of time

If you finish your visit in mid-afternoon, you can head towards the centre, take a short break, walk through Santa Cruz or Encarnación, have dinner and then go to your booked tablao.

This is the most flexible option and the one that best turns SICAB into a full day of sightseeing in Seville.

### Plan 2 · You leave close to closing time

If you stay at FIBES until 21:00, simplify the evening. Choose in advance a performance you can realistically reach, allow time to leave the venue and travel, and avoid booking a formal dinner before the show.

In this case, the priority is not to find the tablao with the “latest” advertised performance, but the one that gives you a safe margin.

### Plan 3 · Sunday 22

On Sunday, the advertised commercial opening hours end at 19:00. That gives you more options to combine SICAB with an early dinner, a walk through the centre and a flamenco show.

If you are also attending the SICAB equestrian show, recalculate your evening from its actual finishing time.

## How to get from FIBES to central Seville

FIBES is on Avenida Alcalde Luis Uruñuela. The venue lists several public transport options, including the **C4 Cercanías suburban rail line**, with the Palacio de Congresos station and connections to Santa Justa and San Bernardo, as well as city buses and taxis.

Current FIBES information lists TUSSAM bus routes **24 and B4** . As services can vary, especially during major events, check transport information on the day.

If you have a flamenco ticket with a fixed start time, a taxi may be simpler at the end of a long day, but do not calculate the trip to the minute: large numbers of people may be leaving SICAB at the same time.

## City centre, Santa Cruz or Triana: choose one area

One of the best decisions after SICAB is **not to try to cover all of Seville in one evening**.

If you choose Encarnación, you can keep the plan around Las Setas. If you prefer the old town, La Cantaora, Casa Duende or El Jardín de Murillo let you organise the evening around the centre and Santa Cruz. If Triana is your priority, go straight to the neighbourhood and avoid crossing back to the other side of the river later.

Once you have a show booked, the rest of the evening becomes much easier: you know where you need to finish and at what time.

## Book in advance during SICAB

SICAB attracts professionals, breeders, enthusiasts and an international audience. That increases demand for hotels, restaurants and evening plans during those dates.

It does not mean every tablao will sell out, but it is still better not to wait until you leave FIBES to start looking. If you already know which day you want to see flamenco, **book online in advance** and choose a time that fits your schedule.

Our guide to [**how far in advance to book a flamenco tablao**](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/how-far-in-advance-book-flamenco-tablao.html) explains when it is worth buying early and when you may still have some flexibility.

## How long does a flamenco show last?

Many tablao shows last around an hour, although the exact duration depends on the venue and the ticket option you choose. If you add dinner, an early arrival or drinks, the total time for the experience may be longer.

For an evening after SICAB, this matters because it also helps you plan your return to the hotel. You can find more information in our guide to [**how long a flamenco show lasts and the best time to go**](https://www.tablaosflamencos.com/en/how-long-is-a-flamenco-show.html).

Do not plan only around the start time: also check the duration, admission time and travel time.

## A simple itinerary to make the most of your trip

### Morning and midday

Enter SICAB with enough time to see the competitions, halls or activities that interest you most. Do not try to set an exact departure time yet if the final programme for your day has not been published.

### Afternoon

When you finish at FIBES, head towards the area you have chosen for the evening. If you have enough time, use it for a walk or a drink before the show.

### Evening

Go to the tablao you have booked and have dinner before or afterwards depending on the show time. Avoid adding a second major ticketed activity if the timings become too tight.

## Frequently asked questions about SICAB Seville 2026 and flamenco

SICAB 2026 takes place from **17 to 22 November 2026** at FIBES, Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre.

### What are the opening hours for SICAB 2026?

The organisers publish approximate commercial opening hours of **10:00 to 21:00 from Tuesday to Saturday** and **10:00 to 19:00 on Sunday**. The times may change, so check the official information before you visit.

As of 4 October 2026, the official programme page says that the detailed SICAB 2026 schedule will be published soon. This guide will be updated when new times are confirmed.

### Can you see flamenco after SICAB?

Yes. Seville’s tablaos continue their regular programmes during those dates. The key is to book a show that leaves enough time to exit FIBES and travel to the city centre or Triana.

### Which area is best for seeing flamenco after SICAB?

It depends on what you want to do afterwards. Encarnación and the city centre are practical for combining a walk and dinner; Santa Cruz works well for an evening focused on the old town; and Triana is a good option if you want to finish your day there.

### Should you book the tablao before travelling?

Yes, especially if you have a specific day and time in mind. SICAB brings many visitors to Seville, and booking online lets you secure your ticket and organise the rest of the itinerary around the show.

### Are the recommended tablaos part of the SICAB programme?

No. They are independent suggestions for completing your visit to Seville. SICAB tickets and tablao tickets are purchased and managed separately.

## From horses to compás: end the day with another side of Seville

SICAB can fill an entire day, but it does not have to be the end of it. If you plan your time well, you can leave FIBES, head into the centre or Triana and finish the evening with a flamenco show without turning the experience into a race.

Choose the tablao and show time that genuinely fit your schedule first. Then decide where to eat, what walk to take and how much time you need to arrive.
